Le Balthazar values the protection of your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect through this site, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

1Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, in particular when you:

  • fill out a contact form (name, email, message);
  • submit an application through the Careers page (name, email, phone, desired role, cover letter);
  • request franchise information (name, email, phone, target area, experience, project description);
  • make a group reservation (name, email, phone, reservation details);
  • join the loyalty program or purchase a gift card through our partner Freebees.

We also automatically collect certain browsing data through cookies, described in section 4.

2How we use your information

Your information is used only to:

  • respond to your requests and questions;
  • process your job application, franchise request or reservation;
  • manage the loyalty program and gift cards;
  • measure site traffic and improve our services.

We never sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

3Sharing with service providers

To deliver our services, we rely on providers that may process some of your information on our behalf:

  • Google (storage of form submissions and traffic statistics via Google Analytics);
  • Resend (form notification emails);
  • Libro (online table reservations);
  • Freebees (loyalty program and gift cards);
  • Ahrefs (anonymized traffic statistics);
  • our hosting and cloud storage providers.

These providers may be located outside Quebec. We limit the information shared to what is strictly necessary.

4Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies to function properly and to measure traffic, in particular through Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics. Cookie consent is managed by the Consorm platform.

On your first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time through the site's cookie settings or by deleting cookies in your browser.

5Retention and security

We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or to meet our legal obligations. Job applications are kept for the duration of the hiring process and a reasonable period afterwards.

We take reasonable security measures (restricted access, encrypted transmission) to protect your information against unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

6Your rights

In accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, you may request access to the information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent at any time.
